In 2020, Cory took on a contracting role with AIP, where he spent three intensive years mastering the entire build process for concrete inground pools. This invaluable experience led him to establish his own business, ARCS - Aquatic Renovation and Construction Services, on September 4, 2023.

Cory’s career began with his graduation from the Royal New Zealand Police College in August 2004. He served in various capacities in the Counties Manukau District, starting as a Frontline Constable and Acting Sergeant before moving to the Counties Manukau Police Support Unit in 2013. From April 2017, Cory held the role of District Iwi Liaison Officer, where he worked closely with Māori, Pacific, and ethnic communities. He furthered his service as a sole Charge Constable in the Far North in 2018 before returning to Manukau in his previous liaison role.

Prior to his police career, Cory worked for 12 years in the Automotive/Industrial power transmission industry, progressing from Storeman to Customer Service and Sales roles. His diverse background has equipped him with effective organizational and team management skills, strong leadership qualities, and a keen ability to solve problems and enhance performance.

Cory is driven by a passion for new challenges and excels in roles that allow him to leverage his initiative and adaptability for the benefit of those he serves. His dedication to helping others achieve their full potential and his commitment to professional development are evident in his extensive training and qualifications, including Te Reo Māori and various courses in human behavior, investigative interviewing, and ethics.

With a proactive attitude, and strong communication skills, Cory is well-positioned to lead ARCS with integrity, innovation, and a deep understanding of community needs.
